Back in October I shot Jenna and Anthony’s beautiful and intimate wedding at the 21 Club in midtown. What a unique venue for a wedding! It was the perfect setting for their classic, elegant wedding. Believe it or not, I was there for only an hour, but managed to capture so much in that space of time.

Katie + Jeff ● Staten Island, NY Wedding Photography

If you want to meet the most down to earth, chill couple, then let me introduce you to Katie and Jeff. You may remember them from their engagement shoot I posted awhile back (that also featured their adorable daughter Olivia!).

Their wedding was beautiful, and I loved all the little Halloween-themed details. And Katie’s dress was to die for. (happy sigh). The ceremony was at Sacred Heart Church and the reception was at The Old Bermuda Inn. Their “post wedding” shots were done at the Alice Austen House.

M + J ● New York City Hall Wedding

I met M + J for the first time while waiting in line for the New York City Marriage Bureau to open. I had arrived early, before the office opened, and saw that the line was already dozens of people long. So, I got in line to hold the spot for M + J. When the office opened, the line moved quickly, and, like clockwork, right before I was allowed in, M + J arrived.

M + J had decided to officially marry privately (they called it their “pre-wedding wedding”) though they do have a ceremony and reception planned for the future. It was a beautiful, intimate ceremony, and I was SO honored to be a part of it (and be their official witness!). After the ceremony, we meandered around, heading in the general direction of where they were going to have their wedding brunch together.

M + J, thank you so much for letting me be part of such an intimate day for you.

Danielle + Matt ● Westchester, NY Wedding Photography

Danielle and Matt are such a cool, chill couple. Their wedding day was filled with fun, lots of laughter, and was punctuated (literally!) by some very unique moments. I had so much fun spending the day with them – and it was a BEAUTIFUL day too, might I add! The ceremony was held at Lake Carmel and the reception was at Cathryn’s Tuscan Grill in Cold Spring, NY.

Danielle and Matt’s wedding incorporated their dog, Alfie, the children’s book “The Little Yellow Leaf,” as well as Claritin – because Danielle had been stung by a bee the day before. Ouch! Danielle rocked it out though…ain’t no bee sting in the world that will stop her from gettin’ married!

Danielle and Matt chose to do a “first look” prior to the ceremony, and it was so sweet to see how excited Matt was to see Danielle

Liz + Rich (Part 2) ● Central MA Wedding Photography

Welcome one and all to the sequel to Liz + Rich (Part 1)! The setting for this wedding was perfection. So many amazing details and you best be believin’ I documented every last bit of it. Yesterday we focused on everything leading up to and including the ceremony, and now we’re moving on ahead to some beautiful scenery, beautiful people, and the party!

After the field, we took a little jaunt to another woody area – since it had rained the ground was too soft for Liz to walk in her heels…so her new husband literally whisked her off her feet and carried her both ways!

Liz + Rich (Part 1) ● Central MA Wedding Photography

I’m completely biased with my love of Liz and Rich. They are fellow Central Massachusettians (yes, I just made that up) and completely. awesome. I did their engagement shoot in the city earlier this year and have been eagerly awaiting their wedding!! It was a GORGEOUS day, despite the weather reports (which the day before the wedding called for rain every day for approximately the next 600 years) and everything was perfect and beautiful. The ceremony and reception took place in the backyard of their Sturbridge home.

I am so in love with their wedding that, while going through images for the blog, I realized I couldn’t even put everything I wanted to include in one blog post. So, surprise guys! This is a part 1 of two blog posts, the second of which will publish tomorrow. It’s kind of like the “Who Shot Mr. Burns?” cliffhanger of the Simpsons. What will happen once they walk up the aisle as husband and wife? Stay tuned and find out! (hint: lots more gorgeousness). UPDATE: Check out Part 2 of this wedding here!

Rachel + David ● New York City Hall Wedding Photography

Love knows no boundaries.

I can’t think of a better couple who exemplifies this than Rachel and David. The couple, who lives in Colorado, came to New York to get married at City Hall.

Before marrying David, Rachel was married for 13 years to a woman, with whom she has twin girls. Longtime friends, she and David fell in love after going through their respective divorces. She says it best when she says they are “Now a big loving, supportive family, children and in-laws. It’s cool and I feel really lucky that we ended up in love and together after all these years. I never would have predicted it but I’m so grateful.”

Congratulations, Rachel and David!

Rachel and David were interviewed by ABC News 7 after the ceremony – they were married shortly after the marriage equality law was passed. How cool!

Lisa + Jackson ● Long Island, NY Wedding Photography

Lisa and Jackson are an awesome couple who planned a beach wedding followed by a reception at a vineyard – a perfect summer wedding! The weather was gorgeous, the beach (Iron Pier Beach in Jamesport) was beautiful, and I loved the reception location (Palmer Vineyards). Throughout the entire day it was clear how much Jackson cherishes Lisa – from the small touches to the sideways glances, he was always there. Sighhh. I love weddings!

Charlie, Lisa and Jackson’s chocolate lab, was an integral part of the ceremony! Look at those puppy eyes!

I love toasts!! There were five of them, ranging from hilarious to happy/emotional.

The best part of the evening – at around dusk, there were countless fireflies languidly flying around the entire grounds. I was one of group of people who took some time to photograph them (I LOVE fireflies!!).

Lisa and Jackson, thank you so much for letting me be part of your special day. You are a beautiful couple, inside and out.

Nette + Brian ● Asbury Park, NJ Wedding Photography

Can I just say? I love Nette and Brian. They are an amazing couple and two people that I now consider friends – we met back in February for their engagement session, and had such a blast then, and I was so pumped to shoot their wedding.

The wedding was amazeballs. Seriously, folks. Asbury Park, sunrise. Yep, you heard that right. I pulled up to the Asbury Ocean Beach Inn, where Nette was getting ready, at 4:45 a.m. Super hardcore! I don’t think I’ve ever watched the sunrise over the ocean before…and it was amazing.

Nette and Brian’s wedding was very intimate. The ceremony was on the beach, right by the water, and literally only a dozen or so people attended. Have I mentioned how I love being a wedding photographer?? I get to be a part of, and document, these super intimate moments. Nette and Brian were actually married by their guests, some of whom became ordained ministers for this specific wedding. Each person spoke, and each person was involved with the handfasting and ring blessing.

After the ceremony there was a breakfast reception at the Supper Club.

What a fun day!!!

Julie + Jason ● Central Park Wedding Photography

There’s nothing like getting married in Central Park, ESPECIALLY when it’s in Belvedere Castle! Very cool. Julie and Jason were so much fun to work with, and you can tell that they had a lot of fun on their wedding day – which is what it should be about!

The guests at the wedding kinda-sorta cheated and watched Julie as she was coming up the hill to the castle before the ceremony – it was very cute.

I loved how there were so many people so excited to see a wedding happening – and look at Julie’s face!

Julie’s dress, shoes, and reception jewelry were by J. Crew. Getting ready pictures were taken at The London Hotel and the (brunch!!) reception was held at Jo’s.
